Are You Getting Quality Water From Your Spiritual Water Purifying System?
Spiritually purity comes only from Jesus. It is compared to quality water from a spiritual well. There is no other source, no other provider. All other water, not matter how clear it may appear, is polluted by the manipulations of Satan.
In John chapter 4, we are told of a meeting between Jesus and a rather loose-living Samarian woman. The meeting, which takes place on a parcel of ground that contains Jacob’s well, was obviously preordained by God the Father. It is here that Jesus uses water as allegory for salvation. The meeting is recorded as follows:
“And he must needs go through Samaria. Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.
There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life,” (John 4:4-14).
Though the story continues, and you should read it yourself, we will stop here.
Flavors Without Quality
The world in which we live pours many flavors of water. Some completely exclude Jesus. Others include a watered-down version of the gospel message. Some even seek to flood us with sewer water that has no value in religion, morals, or truth.
Christians have grown lazy in their water purification habits. Rather than learn from a tattered leather-bound book, they get their bible truths from TV, movies, and Internet fact sources, so-called. Rather than a season along with God the Father, they settle for a few minutes with Google. And then they purchase a movie six-pack of fornication, cursing, and mayhem.
Even when watching so-called Christian films, we have no knowledge of wherein lies truth versus wherein is movie fabrication. Many Christians still believe that Samson had a little blonde girlfriend that died in his arms in the castle (“Samson and Delilah” Victor Mature, Angela Lansbury 1949 Paramount), and that Joshua spent two thirds of his time trying to free a pretty little slave girl from the evils of Edward G. Robinson (1956 classic, “The Ten Commandments” produced by Cecil B. DeMille.
The facts are simple. Jesus is the living water. Unless you repent and believe upon him, you will perish in eternal damnation. If you continue to drink from the world system’s polluted spiritual wells, you will forever thirst, in this life, and in the life that must surely come. If you are a Christian who drinks mostly from the well of laziness, you too, though not to lose that which is real, will live this life in barren lands.
Drink daily from the living waters that there may spring from your belly a fountain of life that is not only sufficient for your needs, but that can touch all others around you.
